The foundations for the information in the application are concepts that are well-known to Child Psychologists. An example is that children seek attention in all kinds of ways and virtually all the time. This is initially a biological need for survival and continues throughout most of childhood as a healthy part of developing a strong bond with parents and a positive self-confidence.
The strength of the child-parent relationship and the level of self-confidence that the child develops are influenced dramatically by the responses from their parents. The importance of beneficial interaction from parents is highest when the child is first born and decreases gradually over the following few months and years.
